Mission Statement

What is CCGD ?

The Chinese Cancer Genome Database (CCGD), a landmark cancer genomics study on Chinese populations, dedicated to aggregate, curate, analyze and present the cancer genome characteristics of Chinese populations. The CCGD has currently molecularly characterized over 500 primary cancer and matched normal samples spanning 7 cancer types. The effort of the Computational Genomics Laboratory(CGL, namely, NIU-LAB), Computer Network Information Center (CNIC), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) began in 2019, bringing together researchers from diverse disciplines and fields, which will greatly enrich and promote the research of cancer genome of Chinese populations.

CCGD will cover multi-dimensional data including epigenome, transcriptome and proteome, clinical information and imaging data. These data have improved and will continue to improve the ability to identify and interpret cancer genome characteristics unique to the Chinese populations. CCGD will remain publicly available to anyone in the research community.

CCGD necessity ?

  • The collection, storage and analysis of cancer samples will benefit the domestic research environment.
  • Accumulate data for further genomics analysis.
